Locksmith services for Little Rock and nearby areasNeed service? Call (501) 389-8286

Before heading to the shop or arranging a mobile visit, gather your vehicle details, identification, and any keys you still have. A quick call can help confirm what your particular job needs.

Contact ARD Locksmith at (501) 389-8286 with your vehicle’s year, make, model, and whether you have a key that starts it. We can review compatibility and discuss the next step.

Your appointment checklist

Have these items ready:

  • Photo identification.
  • Vehicle ownership or authorization documents.
  • The vehicle’s year, make, model, and VIN.
  • All remaining keys and fobs, including damaged ones.
  • A description of what works and what does not.
  • The vehicle’s location if you need mobile service.

Call before traveling so we can confirm the documents, parts, and service arrangements for your vehicle.

Identification and vehicle documents

Prepare a photo ID and vehicle paperwork, such as a registration or title. Ask which documents are appropriate for your situation before the appointment.

Manufacturer procedures illustrate why this matters: Ford’s replacement-key guidance requires identification and documentation connecting the requester to the vehicle and its VIN. See Ford’s replacement-key requirements.

If the vehicle belongs to a family member, employer, rental company, or someone else, explain that when you call. Ask what authorization is needed rather than assuming your own ID will be sufficient.

Documents locked inside the car? Tell us before dispatch so we can explain the verification process. Do not assume the documents can simply be skipped.

Gather every remaining key and fob

Bring the keys you still have and tell us which ones start the vehicle, operate the locks, or have stopped responding. Keep damaged keys and broken pieces available for inspection.

Describe the symptom plainly: “The buttons work, but the car will not start” is more useful than “The key is bad.”

If your Ford starts but displays speed or audio restrictions, mention the dashboard message. Our Ford MyKey guide covers that separate issue.

Confirm whether the vehicle needs to be present

Do not assume bringing only a key will be enough. Programming and testing normally require access to the vehicle, while the requirements for a cutting-only job can differ.

Before leaving home, confirm whether to bring the vehicle to our Little Rock shop or discuss mobile service. Our car key cutting and programming page explains the services we can review.

If you purchased a replacement key elsewhere, tell us before the appointment so compatibility can be checked.

If every key is missing

Say clearly that no working key remains. Have the vehicle details and ownership documents ready, and tell us whether the doors are locked.

Ask us to confirm support before arranging transport. For questions about the number of replacement keys required, read why some all-keys-lost jobs need two keys.

Preparing for a mobile visit

Provide the complete address and explain where the vehicle is parked. Mention gates, parking garages, access restrictions, or a known battery problem.

Mobile availability depends on the vehicle, location, equipment, and technician schedule. See our automotive locksmith services for more information.
